I did – It was hilarious – tho a little painful for me as it shone a light on a lot of my failings.
Leonie makes the point that if you want to grow your business and your goal is to be fully booked then don’t pay out your hard earned cash to train in yet another modality rather you should invest in marketing your business. You will get a better return on your investment.
She then provides a hilarious checklist of all the things you should do if you don’t want to be successful and it’s frightening to see how many boxes you tick. It’s almost as if you really don’t want to succeed deep down and are trying to sabotage yourself.
Just take one example – if you really don’t want to succeed then you would make it hard for clients to book appointments and give you money – so definitely don’t have an online booking system!!!
Well I didn’t have one – do you?
I was putting it off – justifying not having one by saying most of my clients would prefer to just ring up – I’d no actual proof for this – just what I thought they wanted.
Keeping costs to a minimum is important so I’ve gone with 10to8‘s free package. This is fine for my needs at the moment. It will let me test the waters and see whether or not it will be useful.
It was very simple to setup – I’m mobile mainly but also rent a room in a local Pilates Studio so it took me a little while to figure out the way to setup availability on the room rental as I’m available at different times for home visits.
I had one or two questions for the support at 10to8 but they were all answered within 24 hrs.
So for no cost (apart from transaction costs if you allow clients to pay on booking – which is optional) it’s all setup. I will fine tune the email and SMS messages once I’ve got client feedback.
