Beautiful weather for a drive up to Edinburgh to attend Helen Harris’s Fertility and Pre-Conception Workshop. This is the second of Helen’s workshops I’ve attended and again I was impressed by the attention to detail in the presentation and the printed material. For those reflexologists who are members of the AOR the course attracts 12 CPD points.
It was a very full day covering topics from the theoretical point of view and from the point of view of how we as reflexologists can help clients through the various stages from conception process, pre-conception care and where necessary the assisted conception route. Topics also included the various tests which are carried out, approaches to assisted conception for those clients who have gone down the clinical route and an overview of IVF protocols. There were two brief practical sessions during which we looked at specific points and additional techniques and how and when these might be used.
Luckily a comprehensive printed manual of the topics covered and a dvd illustrating the additional techniques is provided. So you can really concentrate on the subjects being discussed without the need to take notes.
The whole day was rounded off by a lovely 5 minute sound bath from Helen using himalayan bowls, crystal bowls and gongs.
